A product of her family’s passion for public education, Dr. Carol Wetzel has served public schools as a  teacher, data coach, and master professional developer at both the school site and district level.  As Senior Director of Urban Partnerships with Discovery Education, Carol consults with large urban district leaders across the nation to develop custom professional development solutions that truly meet the needs of students.  Wetzel is passionate about partnering with school districts to innovate and deliver research based solutions that provide all students access to high quality learning experiences for both career and college readiness.

Prior to her career at Discovery Education, Carol was a project manager and master professional developer for The Princeton Review and served as a Strategic Business Development Executive for Pearson’s digital division in Florida. She is a graduate of the Bank of America Leadership Institute and holds a doctorates degree in organizational leadership, school administration. A serial entrepreneur, Carol was the CEO of Forever Young, Inc., a California corporation and co-owner of Harley Davidson Santa Maria, California.  Aside from her work with Discovery, she is currently the President of Liqueo, Inc, a disruptive technology company that offers a SaaS platform to businesses seeking to maximize their mobile marketing stategy with QR Code technology.
